Earlier this spring, Tim and I planted strawberry plants in one of those Topsy Turvy planters and hung it out on our 3rd floor patio with the hopes of having our own fresh strawberries to munch on this summer.
We got the strawberry plants from Home Depot. They are ever-bearing plants (as opposed to June-bearers or day neutral plants) and don't put out many shoots, which seems to make them a good match for this hanging strawberry planter:
We've been watering it every day, adding a little miracle grow once every 2 weeks.
And there are little strawberries and flowers popping up all over the place!
So our first crop appears to be doing very well:) We're getting excited for fresh, homegrown strawberries!
