Snowed In!

I've been taking advantage of today's snowday to personalize the site a little bit. It's been so long since I did anything with HTML, and it took a good chunk of my day. Let me know what your thoughts are:)

Last night I learned to tat little butterflies and decided to make some Valentines to send to family this week. I just tatted 2 standard butterflies and 3 rings with picots and glued them to some colored cardstock, much like Tim's grandmother had done. Here's the end result:

 

I didn't take a photo of it, but I did stamp and initial the back of the card. I think it turned out well and was a quick little project:) 

It has been snowing or sleeting here since yesterday evening, so the cars are going to be difficult to dig out. The snow is still falling pretty heavily, and they've declared a state of emergency. If the police catch you out driving, they'll cite you unless it's an emergency. I haven't seen or heard anyone moving around outside with the exception of the poor maintenance man who is trying to keep the parking lot and driveways plowed down. Here's a view from our patio:

So we're currently avoiding doing laundry and digging out the cars:-x We'd rather hang out working on projects in our nice warm apartment:)
